After dinner, my boyfriend’s parents suggested that we all go through old family photos and memorabilia. They were eager to share stories from the past and show us what their lives had been like before they became grandparents. At first, I thought I was imagining things. But then my son pointed to the autograph: “To Ron, from Rupert Grint.”
My heart skipped a beat. It couldn’t be. My boyfriend, who I’d known for months as an unassuming tech entrepreneur, had worked on the Harry Potter films? My son was practically jumping up and down with excitement. “You mean, your boyfriend was in the Harry Potter movies? Like the Ron Weasley?!” he asked, his voice full of wonder.
I couldn’t believe it. Apparently, my boyfriend had been part of the crew working behind the scenes on the iconic films and had somehow kept this secret from me.
